Azmaya Kumidashi Teacup
Kumidashi Teacup made from Japanese porcelain extracted from Amakusa and fired in the Shiratake-gama ceramics studio located in Hasami, Nagasaki. The artisans are careful not to over-refine the material leaving each cup with a beautiful and natural texture. The light ash glaze gives the cup a light blue-green glow.
Shallow and round, the Kumidashi shaped teacup is traditionally used for offering Sencha green tea when welcoming guests to a Japanese tea ceremony.
