Organic Sencha Nanmei
The first Nanmei harvest of the year from Mr. Ljichi in Kagoshima.
This organic Sencha is a single cultivar Nanmei grown in full sunlight with no shading before harvest by Mr. Ijichi in Kagoshima. The nanmei is a young cultivar created in 2012 in Kagoshima from the cultivars Sayamakaori and Makurazaki. It is ideal for organic production and is harvested in the early spring. Nanmei is characterized by intense green leaves and a clear and balanced tea with both umami and sweet bitterness.
In the cup: A buttery aroma and a clear light-yellow tea. The first flush brings out a slight citrus aroma, where the second infusion brings out more vegetable like notes.

Sencha is best brewed in a small, preheated teapot and with full attention.
You can brew several times on the same leaves, adjusting the water temperature and brewing time.
Below a suggestion for brewing this tea, but please experiment and find your own favorite cup.
Use 6-8g for 200 ml water.
1. brew: Water 70°C / 50 sec.
2. brew: Water 85°C / pour immediately
3. brew: Water 90°C / pour immediately -
