Azmaya Hira Kyūsu – large w/ back handle

Teapot handmade with crow clay in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture by Takasuke Tōen, one of the most famous kyūsu-manufactures in Tokoname, using traditional Japanese ceramic techniques. The exterior and interior is unglazed and has a smooth tactile finish – honoring the clays natural beauty. An extra fine ceramic mesh filter is built into the interior of the pot, carefully filtering out small tea particles. A delicate spout ensures a good pour.
